Education and Sustainability Program

Good Shephard’s Education and Sustainability Program provides training on caring for animals as well as instruction on preparation, planting, caring for plants, harvesting, and bartering for other items such as cooking oil.

Sustainable Farming allows us to farm in a way that is resource-conserving, socially supportive, and environmentally sound. It brings a sense of identity and self-worth to those we serve. Through the produce and livestock raised on these farms, we are able to bring nutritious fresh produce into impoverished areas. We teach underserved communities how to be self-sustaining through agriculture and sustainable farming and develop economic opportunities for the least of these in the US and abroad.
